Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery

We have been using this vets for 17 years and always found the service very good. Unfortunately after they lost independent status all bills increased to the point that all services were costing us approximately 30% more than other local independent vets. Had to move elsewhere because of this.

I've always found staff at Norwood Road Vets to be friendly and efficient when I bring my dog Toby. They have a lovely attitude to all pets and are welcoming and reassuring.

I’ve been with this surgery for many years for both my cat and dog. We’ve always had such great care and service. I particularly like how helpful and friendly the reception staff are when I call to work out what sort of appointment we need for the dog with various niggles and bigger things that crop up. The vets are so good with my pets too and it’s one of my dog’s favourite places to go!

I've been taking my little rescue dog here since I first adopted her 5 years ago. She was terrified of everything in the beginning and shook uncontrollably at the vets. All the nurses and vets we saw here were understanding of her anxiety and took care to try and keep her as comfortable as possible which helped a lot. She will never love going to the vet but in the last year or so has been less anxious. It's a small surgery and for me this makes it seem less like other places I've been to where I've felt the approach is less personal and the services overpriced. I would definitely recommend Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery.

My cat was a patient at Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery for eleven years and they took wonderful care of her. A lovely and caring team. If my cat wasn’t such a bad traveller I wouldn’t have changed vets after moving!

I've been a long-standing client of this practice but I feel compelled to warn others that it is now owned by IVC Evidensia, one of the largest veterinary groups in the UK, which was recently the subject of a BBC investigation into pushing unnecessary treatments and overcharging pet owners. Sadly, this has reflected my own recent experience. The care and personal touch that originally drew me to the practice has noticeably declined. On my most recent visit, my dog was muzzled without any justification or prior discussion with me, something that has never been necessary. As a result, I've made the decision to move to an independent veterinary practice. I'd encourage other pet owners to do their own research into IVC Evidensia before continuing with this practice.

Norwood Road Vets have always been good, but they’ve been especially standout when dealing with a recent insurance claim I had to put through for my dog. They have been more than accommodating and patient, and I’m especially grateful to Millie for working quickly and efficiently to send over all the required information including an appeal that eventually led to the claim being approved. It’s been a long process but I’ve been really impressed with how helpful they have been throughout. So appreciative!
